Innovation is the price of entry in our business.

Innovation that works is something else entirely.

At FibreCast, our tagline is “We make it happen”. And that’s not by chance, it’s not clever, it’s not meant to be. It’s just the truth. Making it happen is the umbrella under which innovation lives here. Innovation that works, that results in solutions our competitors may be less likely to come up with.

The difference between involvement and commitment is like ham and eggs. The chicken is involved, the pig is committed.

Words are cheap. Ignoring that for a second, FibreCast is the sort of place where as long as there’s a sharpie at hand, napkins become canvases, where blue sky sessions have been known to happen under a blue sky. It’s a commitment to the idea that the phrase “there’s nothing new under the sun” just might be BS.

It’s a place where whiteboards aren’t white for very long. Because innovation, real innovation only happens in a fertile environment. Where lateral thinking is the norm and great ideas can come from anyone at any time, and often does.

Ideas like our SpiderCast anchors that have the ability to hold three times the weight of the old industry standard. And a new soluble injectite that we developed that performs considerably better than any other formulas.

Our new innovation lab will be a hive of activity dedicated to the creation of even more effective products for our customers.

The streets are littered with failed concepts from New Coke to Sony’s Betamax and the miracle food additive, Olestra. The latter introducing the world to the term “anal leakage”. Innovations throughout the years that, while you have to admire them for their creativity, were colossal disasters.

In our world, the world of refractories, we can’t take those chances. At FibreCast it’s about ideas that better allow our customers to stand the heat while not getting out of the kitchen. Or steel mill or wherever.

Pandemic schmandemic.

While many struggle to hang on, we’re investing capital like never before, in the face of it all. Aside from our new innovation lab, we’re expanding our testing facilities. Bringing in new equipment, creating a place for us all to gather, to research, to test incoming raw materials, to create things right out of thin air over an espresso. Or something.

That legendary ballplayer, Satchel Paige once said, “Don’t look back. They may be gaining on you.” Which is exactly what we at FibreCast have been doing since 1993.

Talk to us about your ideas and we'll put our heads together and make something even better.

At FibreCast, we make it happen. And we do mean we.
